Coming Events!! :)

smile its the weekend :)

The pic to the right is of .....KIDS!! LOL
Top is: Ellie(7), Leighton(6), Kitson(4)
Bottom: Jade(10), Jakayla (13), Korey(8), Jeanna(6).

(The glue that connects these children together is the DNA. :)
(Ellie and Leighton and Jakayla are my children. Jade, Korey, Jeanna, Kitson are Sandy's children.) All are siblings to Jakayla :)

I have been working on a special birthday for my oldest daughters' 14th birthday.

I had to enlist the help of my ex-husbands second ex-wife. LOL/
Complicated I know.

Jakayla's one wish was to get her siblings together again for a weekend. We couldn't pull the camping trip like she wanted at the end of summer. She just didn't give us enough notice.

Soooooo........ :)

I'm working with Sandy ( second ex of my ex) Together this is going to be a surprise for the kids. We are coordinating together.

Jakayla originally wanted Crenshaw Cougars colors dance Theme. But she also wanted Halloween Theme. So with some talking and a huge decision on her part. She chose Halloween.

To give you some background. Jakayla hasn't had a "birthday party" in 3 to 4 years!!!

So this is a huge event. Or I'm just making it one. But she is turning 14 and she wants to get a job.
If you are asking why?
Jakayla wants things that I am NOT willing to get for her. (Cell phone, contacts.) These are things that even her father won't get for her. Not that she talks to him unless she wants something.

Ok, back on topic.
:)

So, this year the weekend before her birthday...... We are heading to Woodsfield. Kids don't have school on Friday Oct 9th and thats the day we are going down there. Woohoo me going to the sticks. FUN! FUN! FUN!
( going to be to close to ex-husband for comfort after he took Jakayla to a BAR on a weekend after 9pm. Just because he wanted to play a "game" of pool. )

Jakayla isn't planning to see her father for many reasons. ( he is afraid) ( he is afraid) and lets see ( he's afraid) He knows that I am t totally ticked over the whole thing and refuses to talk to me. Especially because I had to find out that night by the barmaid.

So we are working on a special weekend of apple bobbing, piƱata, pumpkin carving, sing starr, wearing costumes. This is going to be one well thought out party for her.

She wanted all of her siblings together. Well now she is getting all her siblings together:)

The meaning of friendship

Well today...... Was the true test of friendship.

My friend Colleen had a dr. appt. And not just any appt. She had to have her annual pap smear.
Because she has an aversion to doctors, well she has an even bigger aversion to getting that done. With every doctor visit that Colleen goes to, her mother goes with her.

Except this.

She hates taking her mother to these appointments. Well if she doesn't take someone with her then she will talk herself out of going completely.
Hence, I had agreed to go.

She and I have the same doctor. So all wasn't to strange.

Its been a while since I blogged.
So I thought that I would blog today.
This afternoon I am going for a class to help me get financial help to go back to school.
With the kids in school and having free time. I say why not bump my education.
Jakayla, Leighton, and Ellie are now rarely seeing their fathers. So Its all about family and working with it.
Ellie and Leighton are seeing a therapist. Their father is demanding to know what is going on and wants in on it. Not sure how i feel on that one yet.

I started to teach Jakayla how to knit. FUN!!
Tried teaching Ellie and Leighton. Lets call that on a work in progress. :)

I have several knitting projects going. I'm making Ellie a blanket and Leighton a scarf. As soon as I'm finished with Leighton's scarf, I'll need to start working on Jakayla's and Ellie's scarves.

I'm working on getting my divorced pushed through. Woohoo to number 2. :)
The main thing that is stalling it is the fact that he is long gone and I have no clue as to where he is. Not that I really care. But it is a requirement for school and the attorney's. Blah Blah Blah :(
Not to mention that he is AWOL from the military. NICE huh?
It's such a pain.
